Jeff Waymire
Jeff Waymire is in his second stint (8th year) in the Fairview Program. Prior to returning to Fairview, Waymire spent 8 years as the infield and hitting coach at the University of California, at San Diego (UCSD). Fairview had 9 straight years of shortstops that went on to play Division I baseball and Coach Waymire was an integral part of the players’ development. As one of the top infield coaches in the country, Waymire developed a defense at UCSD that was the #1 rated NCAA defense in the nation in 2003 and 10th all-time! He was also the infield coach at UC Riverside (played there also) from 1993-1994 helping the Highlanders to the Division II World Series. A native of San Diego, Jeff has played with, learned from, and instructed many players that have made it to the Majors. Success follows him wherever he goes. In his years coaching in Colorado, Waymire coached teams won two State “A” Legion titles and an NBC Semi-pro state title and runner-up Regional finish.
